Directions

  1. 1Add yeast into warm water and stir until dissolved.
  2. 2Set the yeast mixture aside for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. 3Add fine salt and sugar to flour in a mixing bowl.
  4. 4Toss all dry ingredients together.
  5. 5Pour the activated yeast mixture into the dry ingredients.
  6. 6Add neutral oil to the mixture and mix it in.
  7. 7Put a little bit of flour in your hands and work the dough inside the mixing bowl.
  8. 8Take the dough out of the bowl, place it on a floured counter, and knead by slapping it.
  9. 9Stretch, fold, and roll the dough for about 10-15 minutes until it is nice and smooth.
  10. 10Lightly coat the dough with some oil and place it in a mixing bowl.
  11. 11Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set it aside in a warm place for an hour to rise.
  12. 12Punch down the risen dough.
  13. 13Form the dough into small balls.
  14. 14Flour the working surface and roll out a dough ball.
  15. 15Take the edges and roll them in to form a baguette shape.
  16. 16Cover the shaped baguettes with plastic wrap and let them rise for another 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  17. 17Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
  18. 18Spray the dough with water before baking.
  19. 19Score the dough with a knife.
  20. 20Add your bread to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
