Cut the chicken into small and medium pieces, separating the drumsticks.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add cardamom, bay leaves, anise, and a cinnamon stick to the hot oil.

Finely chop the red onion.

Add the chopped red onion to the pan.

Add the cut chicken pieces to the pan with the onions and spices.

Stir everything well.

Finely chop the garlic.

Finely chop the ginger.

Add garlic and ginger to the chicken in the pan.

Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, and garam masala powder to the pan.

Stir well to combine all ingredients and spices.

Add about half a cup of water to the pan.

Cover the pan and let it cook for some time.

Remove the lid and add yogurt.

Stir to incorporate the yogurt.

Garnish with fresh coriander.

Serve the chicken with rice, sliced red onions, and a lemon wedge.

1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garam masala powder
0.5 cup Water
0.5 cup Yogurt
2 sprigs Fresh coriander
1 unit Lemon
