Open two cans of Italian tomatoes.

Pour both cans of tomatoes into a clear bowl.

Mash the tomatoes with your hand while wearing a glove.

Set aside the mashed tomatoes.

Finely dice the onion.

Smash the garlic to remove the skin.

Mince the garlic.

Add olive oil to a pot on a stove.

Add the diced onion to the pot.

Stir the onion until it softens without browning.

Add the minced garlic to the pot and stir.

Pour white wine into an empty tomato can.

Add the white wine to the pot.

Stir until some of the alcohol evaporates.

Pour the mashed tomatoes from the bowl into the pot.

Add pepper to the sauce.

Add oregano to the sauce.

Add red chili flakes to the sauce.

Add salt to the sauce.

Add a bouquet of basil to the sauce.

Let the sauce simmer gently for 20 to 25 minutes until it thickens.

Finish the sauce with a splash of olive oil.

Stir the sauce.

Serve the marinara sauce.

4 oz white wine
0.25 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
0.5 teaspoon chili flake
1 tsp ocean
1 small bunch basil leaf
2 oz olive oil
