Maple brown Sugar cookies

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine 2 and 1/3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

  3. 3In a mixing bowl, add 1 stick of softened butter with 1 cup of brown sugar.

  5. 5Add 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of maple extract.
  6. 6Mix all the wet ingredients together.
  7. 7Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  8. 8Add 1 cup of chopped pecans and mix.
  9. 9Refrigerate the dough for about 2 hours.
  10. 10After 2 hours, scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined pan.
  11. 11Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 12 to 13 minutes.
  12. 12While the cookies are baking, prepare the icing by combining 1 tablespoon of melted butter, 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 1 cup of powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt.
