Directions

  1. 1Brew sencha tea in a teapot.
  2. 2Wash your rice before adding the tea to the pot.
  3. 3Sift matcha powder into a bowl and whisk with hot water using a chasen.
  4. 4Pour the prepared matcha over the cooked rice and mix until combined.
  5. 5Rinse hands with water to prevent sticking, then mold the matcha rice into a triangle shape with your chosen filling inside.
  6. 6Roll the edges of the onigiri in shiso fumi furikake and sesame seeds, and garnish with a strip of nori.

  • 1 tsp sencha tea
  • shiso fumi furikake
  • roasted sesame seeds
  • umeboshi
  • nori
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
