Boil and mash the potatoes until smooth.

Mix in the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chili flakes.

Take a small portion of the potato mixture, flatten it in your hand, and place a cube of mozzarella in the center.

Seal and roll into a ball.

Place the potato cheese balls in the freezer for 30 minutes to help them firm up.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the potato cheese balls until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve hot with ketchup and enjoy the gooey cheese pull.
