Wash the glutinous rice multiple times.

Pour 3 cups of coconut milk into a pan.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the coconut milk and let it boil.

Once boiling, add the washed glutinous rice to the coconut milk.

Cook the rice in low heat, stirring occasionally, until it absorbs the coconut milk and becomes sticky.

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the sticky rice and mix well until fully incorporated and sticky.

Transfer the cooked sticky rice into a baking pan lined with banana leaves and spread evenly. Set aside.

In a separate pot, pour 2 cups of coconut milk.

Add 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar to the coconut milk.

Cook the mixture in low heat, stirring occasionally, until it becomes thick.

Pour the thick coconut milk and brown sugar mixture over the cooked rice in the baking pan.

Bake in a pre-heated oven for 45 minutes at 160°C.

Remove from oven and serve.
