Pour 165ml of milk into a bowl.

Add 8g of instant yeast to the milk.

Mix the milk and yeast together.

Add 1 large egg to the mixture and whisk.

Add 320g of bread flour or all-purpose flour to the bowl.

Add 16g of powdered milk.

Add 1 tsp of salt to the mixture.

Mix the ingredients in a stand mixer for 5 minutes.

Add 22g of butter to the dough.

Mix for another 5 minutes until the dough is soft and stretchy.

Cover the bowl and let the dough rise until its size doubles.

Punch the dough to remove gas.

Flour your surface and place the dough on it.

Roll out the dough into a flat rectangle.

Cut the dough into small squares.

Form each square into a small ball, each weighing about 15g.

Place parchment paper on a baking tray, or use a non-stick tray.

Arrange the dough balls on the baking tray.

Cover the tray and let the dough balls rise for 40 minutes.

Rub milk on top of the risen dough balls.

Bake at 350°F for 17-20 minutes.

Rub butter on top of the baked bubble bread.
