Honey Butter Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Cut 1 pound boneless skinless chicken into bite-sized pieces and place them into a large ziplock bag.
  2. 2Sprinkle the chicken with ", "teaspoon garlic salt.
  3. 3Crack 1 large egg on top of the chicken and massage it in with your hand to coat the chicken.
  4. 4Add 1 cup cornstarch on top of the chicken.
  5. 5Seal the bag and shake to coat the chicken well.
  6. 6In a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat, add ", "cup vegetable oil.
  7. 7Add the coated chicken and cook 7-8 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
  8. 8Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  9. 9Returning to the skillet, add ", "cup unsalted butter.
  10. 10Melt the butter over medium heat, then add ", "cup honey, 2 cloves minced garlic, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar.
  11. 11Whisk together and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
  12. 12Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet.
  13. 13Toss the chicken in the sauce to coat the chicken well.
  14. 14Garnish with sesame seeds and diced green onion, if desired.
  15. 15Serve over rice and enjoy!

  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Tips

  • The best and easiest way to coat the chicken with cornstarch is with a ziplock bag. Shake well to separate and coat each piece of chicken.
