Cover wakame seaweed with hot water and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Cut half a block of silken or soft tofu into little cubes.

Slice some green onions.

Bring a pot of water to a boil and then reduce it to a simmer.

Add a few teaspoons of dashi powder to the steaming water (not boiling).

Take a little bit of the broth and whisk in some white miso paste until incorporated to avoid clumps.

Add the whisked miso paste back into the pot.

Add the rehydrated seaweed, tofu, and green onion to the pot.

Optionally, add white beech mushrooms (roots cut off, rinsed) to the soup.

Let everything simmer until heated through.

Serve in a cute bowl.
