Season your clean shrimp with all of the seasonings that I'll have listed below in the caption, and get this into a hot skillet and let this cook for 2 minutes on each side with 2 tablespoons of butter. (sear 1-2 minutes per side)
Remove your shrimp from the pan, making sure you don't overcook them.
In the same pan, you're going to add in your onions, then add the garlic, basil, calabrian chilies, and last so they don't burn.
Cook the garlic, Calabrian chilis, and chopped basil for 30-45 seconds until fragrant (do not brown the garlic).
Add in the orzo and let it toast for 5 minutes with garlic and herb seasoning and lemon zest. (toast 1-2 minutes)
Add in a half a cup of white wine and let it absorb into the orzo, so all of the liquid should be gone.
Then add 4 cups of chicken broth and fresh thyme, occasionally stir this for 8 minutes.
Remove the thyme.
Add in just a half a cup of heavy cream and a little bit of parmesan.
Squeeze in half of a fresh lemon and stir in 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add half the shrimp back into the pan and let it heat through.
Top this with shrimp and torn fresh basil before serving.
