Make holes in the potatoes with a fork.

Halve the onions.

Season the potatoes and onions with turmeric, Kashmiri mirch and salt.

Fry the potatoes and onions in oil.

Blend fried onions, kaju, curd, and cardamom powder together to create the gravy.

Add ghee, tej patta, laung, black pepper, dal chini, ginger garlic chilli paste, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt, and water to a pan.

Add the tomatoes and cook.

Stir in the blended gravy.

Add the fried potatoes and onions and mix them well.

Garnish with green chilli, coriander leaves and garam masala.

Add water to adjust the consistency.

Add Kewra water.

Cover and simmer.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

2 tbsp ginger garlic chilli paste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp coriander powder
to taste salt
0.25 cup water
1 tomato
3 4 green chilli
coriander leaves
0.5 tsp garam masala
0.5 tsp Kewra water
to adjust the consistency of the gravy water
