Directions

  1. 1Get any minced meat (lamb, mutton, beef) with 10-20% fat.
  2. 2Add the spices mentioned in the caption: 1.5 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 0.5 tsp garam masala, 0.5 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp crushed black pepper, and salt.
  3. 3Grate one onion.
  4. 4Squeeze all the juice out of the grated onion.
  5. 5Add one tablespoon of garlic paste and one tablespoon of ginger paste.
  6. 6Smack the meat to make it nice and squishy.
  7. 7Use your hands to put the meat mixture onto skewers and roll it out to make it long.
  8. 8Put the skewered kebabs in the oven or air fryer at 180° Celsius for a couple of minutes.
  9. 9Fry the kebabs on a pan to get a nice black char on the sides.
  10. 10Serve the kebab on its own or with bread, onion, tomatoes, and yogurt sauce.

Tips

  • Wear goggles or an astronaut suit when grating onion to avoid eye irritation.
  • Squeeze all the juice out of the grated onion.
  • Smack the meat to make it squishy before rolling.
  • Ensure the meat has some fat to stick to the skewer.
  • If you don't have a barbecue or tandoor, use an air fryer and pan to achieve a charred finish.
