Apple Cinnamon Swirl Cake
Directions
- 1Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F).
- 2Peel and dice the apples.
- 3Mix the diced apples with 50g sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.
- 4In a large bowl, combine 350g flour, 180g sugar, and 4 tsp baking powder.
- 5Add 300ml milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 2 eggs to the dry ingredients.
- 6Whisk until combined.
- 7Stir in 100g melted butter.
- 8Fold in the prepared apples.
- 9Pour the batter into a baking dish lined with non-stick paper.
- 10For the cinnamon swirl, whisk 150g light brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, and 120g melted butter together.
- 11Dollop the cinnamon mixture on top of the batter.
- 12Swirl the cinnamon mixture with a knife.
- 13Bake for 50 minutes at 180°C (355°F).
- 14For the icing, mix 100g icing sugar and 4 tsp milk until smooth.
- 15Pour the glaze over the warm cake.
- 16Slice and serve the apple cinnamon swirl cake.
