Directions
- 1Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl and whisk.
- 2Add cold butter and cut into the flour mixture.
- 3Stir in ice water and form into a dough.
- 4Shape the dough into a ball and freeze.
- 5Whisk together milk, egg yolk, flour, and sugar in a saucepan on the stove.
- 6Whisk on medium heat.
- 7Stir in vanilla and allow pudding to cool completely.
- 8Roll out the dough and cut out circles.
- 9Brush edges with warm water.
- 10Add 1/2 tablespoon of pudding to each circle.
- 11Fold over tightly and press edges with a fork.
- 12Freeze the pies.
- 13Brush pies with milk/egg wash.
- 14Bake at 415 F (212 C).
- 15Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, and green food coloring.
- 16Dip pies in icing and dry.
