One-Pan Chicken, Bacon, and Pasta Dinner

Directions

  1. 1Chop 1 pound of bacon.
  2. 2Add the chopped bacon to a large skillet, put it on medium heat, and start cooking.
  3. 3In a large bowl, add 1.5 pounds of cubed chicken and season it well.
  4. 4Toss the chicken with a few tablespoons of cornstarch.
  5. 5While the bacon is cooking, shred a block of cheese, using around half or a bit more.
  6. 6Once the bacon is almost cooked, add half a diced onion to the skillet.
  7. 7Once the onion is translucent and the bacon is done, remove them from the pan and let them drain on paper towels.
  8. 8Leave the bacon grease in the pan and start cooking the chicken for about 3 minutes on both sides.
  9. 9Toss the chicken for 30 seconds until crispy, then remove it from the pan.
  10. 10To the same pan, add one whole carton of chicken broth and 1 pound of pasta.
  11. 11Set the heat to medium-high and cook for 8 to 9 minutes once it starts boiling, until the chicken broth is absorbed and noodles are cooked.
  12. 12Lower the heat and add 1 cup of heavy cream or half and half.
  13. 13Add about a cup of shredded cheese, stir, then add another cup, allowing it to melt quickly.
  14. 14Add the cooked bacon and onion back into the pan and toss it up.
  15. 15Add the cooked chicken to the pan and mix everything together.
