  13. 13Steam for 35 Dressing all the way, sometimes I'll use it in like a pasta salad or I'll just, yeah, usually as a dressing. So I make my own. This one is like a citrus tahini dressing, that's really good. And then I think a simple vinaigrette is like the best, you can't beat that. Oh my gosh. My favorite is a balsamic vinaigrette. So good. Yeah. And it's just so simple, like balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a little bit of maple syrup or something to cut the acidity and then salt and pepper, whisk it together. It's so good. I put it on everything. Even if I'm not eating salad, I'll just put it on some vegetables like, I don't know, roasted broccoli. So good. 100%. What about you? That's really good. I'm a big fan of making my own salad dressing as well. I love a good like lemon tahini dressing. That's always a good one. A really simple one. And then a pesto vinaigrette is really good. So like if you have leftover pesto, just like add some vinegar to it. That's so good. It makes it really nice and creamy. Yeah. It's so good. You inspired me. I'm making a salad for dinner. I know. I was literally just thinking that I was like, oh, I have to go to the store and get some stuff. Um, I was, I was just thinking like what's for dinner, but I'm thinking about it. Do you like a simple vinaigrette or do you like a creamy dressing? Um, I'm a big fan of both. I really love a creamy dressing and I think one of the, like, kind of simple ones I like to do is like a cottage cheese ranch. So that's super good. Um, it's just cottage cheese, um, a little bit of milk and then some like ranch seasoning, blend it all up. And it's like a really good, um, kind of ranch dressing, but it's like super high in protein. Yeah. So that's really good. Um, or I'll do like a Caesar dressing or, um, I don't know, there's a lot of different ones you can do but that's a good one. That's good. That's a good one. That's good. That's smart. I'm gonna try that. I'm gonna try that. I'm just curious because what are your thoughts on salad dressing from the store? Do you like it? Or do you think that making your own is like 100% the way to go? I think making your own is 100% the way to go. It's a lot of times more healthy. You know what's going in it. There's not a lot of extra added sugars or anything like that. So I think that's good. Um, I don't mind a store-bought one once in a while, like if I'm at a party or something like that, you know, it's not the end of the world, but I really do think that, um, making your own is just so much better. I 100% agree, and it's so easy. Like the lemon tahini or the balsamic vinaigrette, you just throw it together. So easy. It makes such a difference. I agree. Well, on that note, let's talk about the final question that we have on our list. What is your go-to kitchen tool? My go-to kitchen tool. Ooh, this is a good one. Um, I think if I had to pick one, it would be my air fryer. I use that thing for everything. I mean, from like roasting vegetables to cooking chicken to reheating leftovers, it's just like the best. So I love my air fryer. I use it all the time. Oh my gosh. I totally forgot about that. I use my air fryer all the time. Oh my gosh. So good. What do you use it for? What do you use it for mostly? Um, I use it for, I use it to cook fish a lot of the time because it cooks fish super quick and then it cooks it nice and crispy on the outside. Um, and it reheats things really well. I'll like make myself a little sandwich and then just put it in there and it just, it's so good. That's really good. Yeah. I also really love it for like roasted chickpeas to put on salads. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yeah. It's amazing. I've heard that. I've heard that. I've also heard that it's good for making kale chips. I've never tried that. That's good. I want to try that. Yeah. I need to try that too. I also love to use it for like homemade fries. Like it's so good. Yeah. So good. Okay. What about you? My go-to kitchen tool? That's a hard one because I love to cook. So like my kitchen aid stand mixer has like a very dear place in my heart, but if I had to pick one, it's probably my knife. Yeah. I have this, um, knife that I got for Christmas a few years ago. It's like a really nice shun knife. Um, and it's like a Japanese chef's knife. And I just, it's so good. Like I cook so much and I do so much prep and I love a good sharp knife. So like, you know, gotta keep it sharp. But yeah, that is like my favorite, favorite kitchen tool that I use every single day. I love that. I love that. It's a good one. It's a good one. I was expecting you to say, I don't know, a cast iron or something like that. But a knife, it's so simple, but it's so true. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's such a basic, but it's just, you just can't, you can't cook without a good knife. I agree. I 100% agree. It's definitely, definitely a necessity in the kitchen. For sure. Yeah. Oh my gosh. I agree. But yeah, those are all the questions that we have today. This was such a good episode. I love this. I love this. I think we need to do like a part two or like a part three. For sure. I agree. This was a lot of fun. Yes. And our listeners, thank you so much for tuning in. And if you have any questions or comments or you want to give your opinion on anything that we talked about today, just feel free to reach out to us. Yes, thank you all so much for listening. We'll talk to you next time. Bye. Bye. 40 minutes, refrigerate overnight, then lightly oil and grill or pan sear.
