Add five tablespoons of flour to a pan.

Add one cup of sugar and a quarter teaspoon of salt.

Whisk the flour, sugar, and salt together.

Put the mixture over medium heat.

Get one cup of milk ready to have on hand.

Slowly add in the one cup of milk to the mixture.

Mix this very well to ensure there are no clumps.

When the mixture starts bubbling, stir very consistently to prevent scorching to the bottom of the pan.

Once you can see the bottom of the pan when stirring, take it off the heat.

Scrape the pan out with a squeegee or spatula and transfer the mixture into a regular bowl.

Place saran wrap over the bowl, making sure to press it down directly onto the frosting base.

Place the bowl in the fridge until it has cooled down completely.

Add a cup of butter to your stand mixer.

Mix the butter until it is nice and fluffy, stopping occasionally to scrape the bowl down.

Slowly add in your cooled flour and sugar mixture.

Tips
