Season 1 pound of chicken breast with garlic powder, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning, flipping to coat both sides.

Brown the seasoned chicken in a skillet with olive oil until cooked through, then remove.

Slice 1 pound of smoked sausage.

Toss the sliced smoked sausage into the same skillet and cook until browned.

Once the meat is browned and cooked through, remove it from the skillet.

Dice an onion.

Add the diced onion to the skillet with more olive oil if needed and sauté until soft and caramelized.

Add three cloves of minced garlic to the skillet with the sautéed onion and cook until fragrant.

Pour in 1 and a half cups of orzo and toast for a couple of minutes.

Add three cups of chicken broth, bring to a boil, and let it simmer until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Pour in half a cup of heavy cream.

Add half a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese and stir until the mixture is creamy.

Throw the cooked chicken and sausage back into the creamy orzo mixture and mix everything together.
