Cut the corn kernels off the cob, as close to the cob as possible, using a sharp knife.

In a cast iron skillet, cook 2-3 slices of bacon.

Once bacon is cooked, add the corn kernels to the skillet with the bacon fat.

Add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt.

Add 1 tablespoon of your favorite seasoning (optional).

Add 1 tablespoon of black pepper (optional).

Add a splash of heavy cream (about 1 tablespoon).

Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt while stirring.

If desired, add cheese and stir to combine.

Serve and garnish with fresh parsley.
