Homemade Bread Bowl Chicken Noodle Soup

Directions

  1. 1Add three cups of warm water to a bowl.
  2. 2Add two tablespoons of active dry yeast and whisk until dissolved.
  3. 3Pour in seven cups of bread flour.
  4. 4Add three teaspoons of salt.
  5. 5Add two tablespoons of oil, preferably extra virgin olive oil.
  6. 6Use a KitchenAid to knead the dough until it doesn't stick as much to the bowl.
  7. 7Place flour on your surface to prevent the dough from sticking.
  8. 8Knead the dough into a ball.
  9. 9Place the dough into a bowl and let it rise for one hour.
  10. 10Put some flour on your surface and split the risen dough into four pieces.
  11. 11Knead the four pieces into dough balls, spinning them to help them keep a ball shape.
  12. 12Add flour on top of the dough balls.
  13. 13Let the dough balls rise for another hour.
  14. 14Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  15. 15Cook the bread bowls for 40 minutes.
  16. 16Once removed from the oven, cut the lids off the bread bowls.
  17. 17Scrape some of the bread out to create space for the soup.
