Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cut cabbage into thick wedges, keeping the core attached.

Sear the cabbage in a hot oven-safe skillet with olive oil until both sides are nicely browned.

Remove the cabbage from the pan and season with salt and pepper.

In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and spices until soft.

Stir in cream cheese until smooth.

Pour in the chicken broth.

Mix cornstarch and water, then add it to the pan.

Let everything simmer until slightly thickened.

Stir in half the Parmesan cheese.

Nestle the cabbage back into the pan.

Bake for about 50 minutes at 350 degrees, flipping once, until tender.

Let it rest.

Finish with the remaining Parmesan and fresh parsley.

2 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups chicken broth
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons water
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
