Directions
1
Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2
Wash your chicken.
3
Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.
4
Tenderize the chicken using the palm of your hand.
5
Season the chicken with garlic powder, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
6
Get out your cast iron skillet and put it on a stove over medium-high heat with a little bit of olive oil on top.
7
Once the oil is simmering, add the chicken breast to the cast iron skillet and do not touch it for 5 minutes.
8
Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic.
9
Place another pan on the stove over medium-high heat and toast 1 1/2 cups of orzo for about 2-3 minutes.
10
While the orzo is toasting and the chicken has reached 5 minutes, flip each chicken breast.
11
Put the entire cast iron skillet in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10-12 minutes.
12
While the chicken is in the oven, add 2-3 cups of chicken broth to the orzo, along with your minced garlic.
13
Let the orzo cook for around 12-14 minutes until it's thickened.
14
Once the chicken is ready, take it out of the oven.
