American Goulash

Directions
- 1Add ground beef and diced onion to a pot.
- 2Cook for about 7-10 minutes, until the meat is browned and the onions are cooked through.
- 3Drain off any excess grease.
- 4Add minced garlic, chili powder, and paprika.
- 5Let it toast for about 90 seconds.
- 6Pour in beef broth, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
- 7Season with Italian seasoning, salt, onion powder, and black pepper.
- 8Stir and bring to a simmer.
- 9Reduce the heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- 10Add elbow noodles.
- 11Let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the elbow noodles are al dente.
- 12Remove the pot from the heat and add shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese.
- 13Stir until the cheese is gooey and melted.

- 2 15 ounce cans tomato sauce

- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 pound elbow noodles
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Tips
- To stretch the recipe even further, use the whole pound of pasta and add an extra cup of beef broth.
