Directions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 350F.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine your butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar.
  3. 3Mix until butter and sugar are creamed together.
  4. 4Add in your egg and vanilla and mix again until it is nice and fluffy.
  5. 5Add in your flour and cinnamon and mix until a dough forms.
  6. 6Separate your dough into two equal sections and place the first section in an 8x8 baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  7. 7Press the dough down until it reaches all the sides.
  8. 8Take the other half of the dough and press it into an 8x8 square on a piece of parchment paper to layer on top.
  9. 9Make your brown sugar cinnamon filling by mixing brown sugar, melted butter, all-purpose flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  10. 10Place the filling on top of the first dough layer in the baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  11. 11Top it with the other half of your dough, which should already be pressed into an 8x8 square, and place it in the oven to bake.
  12. 12Bake it for 40 minutes and then let it cool for 10 minutes.
  13. 13Prepare the icing by mixing powder sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk. Then, you are ready to ice it.
  14. 14Cut the pop tart bars into squares.
