1Combine chicken pieces with yogurt, salt, pepper, garlic powder, ras el hanout, curry powder, cumin, paprika, and the juice of half a lemon. Mix and leave to marinate.
2Heat oil in a pan and sear the chicken pieces for a couple of minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
3In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion and grated garlic.
4Stir in the tomato paste, the marinade leftover from the chicken, coconut milk, and butter cubes. Let it simmer until thickened.
5Return the browned chicken to the pan and continue to cook until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
6Garnish with fresh cilantro and a drizzle of coconut milk before serving.
