Directions
- 1Add 2 1/2 cups of water to a hot pot.
- 2Add 2 pounds of 80/20 ground beef to the pot with the water.
- 3Break up the ground beef in the water using a meat grinder or similar tool.
- 4Add 1/2 of an onion to the pot.
- 5Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the pot.
- 6Add 1 tablespoon of black pepper to the pot.
- 7Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder to the pot.
- 8Add 1 tablespoon of paprika to the pot.
- 9Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to the pot.
- 10Add 4 tablespoons of chili powder to the pot.
- 11Add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the pot.
- 12Add 2 tablespoons of Texas Pete hot sauce to the pot.
- 13Add 2 tablespoons of spicy ketchup to the pot.
- 14Mix all the ingredients well and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 15Once boiling, place the lid on the pot and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
- 16Take the lid off, add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, and mix thoroughly until everything is smooth.
- 17Let it cook for a few more minutes until it thickens, then skim the grease off the top to achieve your desired consistency.
