Crockpot Bread Pudding

Directions

  1. 1Cut one small loaf of bread in half, then flip it and cut it in half once more.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine 2.5 cups of whole milk, 0.25 cup of melted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar or sugar substitute, 0.25 teaspoon of cinnamon, 0.25 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  3. 3Add 4 eggs to the mixture and whisk it up.
  4. 4Pour the custard mixture directly on top of the cut bread.
  5. 5Use a junglespoon to press the bread down, ensuring it gets really saturated in the custard mixture.
  6. 6Sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
  7. 7Bake in the crockpot for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  8. 8Scoop out a big portion using a junglespoon.
  9. 9Dust with a little bit of powdered sugar on top.
