French Onion Ditalini Pasta

Directions

  1. 1Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet.
  2. 2Add ditalini to the melted butter and brown it for a few minutes.
  3. 3Add white wine and let it evaporate.
  4. 4Start adding the first cup of beef broth gradually and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. 5Add the French onion soup and stir it in with the other cup of beef broth.
  6. 6Cover and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the ditalini is tender.
  7. 7Remove the lid and add the remaining butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan.
  8. 8Season with salt and pepper.
  9. 9Top with Gruyère cheese and cover again until the cheese has melted.

  • 0.5 lb ditalini
  • 0.5 cup white wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • salt

  • 0.33 cup heavy cream
  • 0.33 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 cup grated Gruyere
