Homemade Cooking Cream

Directions

  1. 1Measure two cups of powdered milk into a bowl.
  2. 2Add two cups of water to the powdered milk.
  3. 3Whisk the milk and water until combined.
  4. 4Add an additional half cup of water to the mixture and whisk again.
  5. 5Melt butter in a pan over medium to low heat.
  6. 6Pour the milk mixture into the pan with the melted butter.
  7. 7Whisk the milk and butter mixture and bring to a boil on medium to low heat.
  8. 8In a separate small bowl, mix two teaspoons of corn flour with water to create a slurry.
  9. 9Pour the corn flour mixture into the boiling cream while continuously stirring.
  10. 10Stir the cream continuously until it thickens.
  11. 11Allow the cream to cool down.
  12. 12Pour the cooled cream into a blender.
  13. 13Blend the cream for about 30 seconds until smooth.
  14. 14The cooking cream is ready to be used.
