Creamy Garlic Steak Ramen

Directions

  1. 1Set a pot of water on the stove and let it come to a boil.
  2. 2Once the water is boiling, carefully lower six eggs into the pot using a spoon to prevent splashing and breaking.
  3. 3Boil the eggs for 6 minutes.
  4. 4While the eggs are boiling, prepare the marinade for the eggs by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a little brown sugar in a measuring cup.
  5. 5Prepare a glass with ice water.
  6. 6Once the eggs are done boiling, immediately put them in the ice water and let them sit for about five minutes.
  7. 7Peel the soft-boiled eggs.
  8. 8Place the peeled eggs into the soy sauce marinade.
  9. 9Prepare the ramen sauce by combining the chicken flavor packets from the Maruchan ramen, Japanese mayo, Sriracha, and one egg yolk in a bowl. Whisk until well combined.
  10. 10Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  11. 11Prepare a steak pan with olive oil.

  13. 13Put the seasoned steaks into the hot pan.
  14. 14Add butter to the pan with the steaks.
  15. 15Drain a little bit of the water from the ramen noodles.

  17. 17Pour the ramen noodles into the prepared sauce and mix well.
  18. 18Slice the rested steak.

Tips

  • To achieve a gummy egg yolk, do not put the eggs in until the water is actually boiling.
  • Using a spoon to lower eggs into boiling water helps prevent splashing and breaking.
  • For best results, marinate the eggs for a few hours, but you can marinate them while cooking the steak and ramen noodles.
  • Drain a little bit of the ramen water before mixing with the sauce.
  • Let the steak rest after cooking.
