Add 4 cups of masa into a bowl along with 1 and a half teaspoons of salt.
Mix the masa and salt with a clean hand and slowly add hot water until the masa is hydrated and a small ball of dough doesn't crack on the edges when pressed.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it is nice and smooth.
Cover the dough with a damp paper towel and allow it to rest for at least 15 minutes.
Grab a ball of dough, place it in the center of a tortilla press with a piece of parchment paper, and press it down until it's nice and flat.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until it's nice and hot.
Carefully place a tortilla into the hot oil.
Once the tortilla puffs, flip it over.
Shape the taco while it's cooking.
Once done, drain all of the oil from the taco shell and set it aside, repeating the process for the remaining tortillas.
Heat a little bit of oil in a pan over medium heat for the taco meat.
Once the oil is hot, add 1 Roma tomato, 1 jalapeño, and half a chopped onion and sauté for a couple of minutes.
After a couple of minutes, add the ground beef and break it down.
Add the minced garlic along with all of the spices (2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp black pepper, salt to taste, 0.5 tsp ground cumin).
Mix all ingredients together and allow the ground beef to cook for about 7 minutes or until fully cooked.
Once the meat is fully cooked, remove any excess grease.
Season with about 10 dashes of Maggi jugo.
Add 1/4 of a cup of tomato sauce and the juice of half a lime.
Mix it and taste for salt, adjusting if needed.
Give it a couple of minutes to cook, then prepare to assemble the tacos.
