Directions
1
Drop tomatillos, one jalapeño, two serranos, and one onion into boiling water.
2
Add two garlic cloves at the very end of blanching to maintain their strong flavor.
3
Once tomatillos, jalapeños, and onions are boiled, drop the garlic in.
4
Add about a quarter cup of water into the blender with the boiled ingredients.
5
Squeeze a bit of lime into the mixture.
6
Add about two teaspoons of OG blend (salt, pepper, garlic) for seasoning.
7
Add about a handful of cilantro.
8
Drop in at least half an avocado for creaminess.
9
Give the mixture a couple of pulses in the blender until creamy.
Ingredients
tomatillos
1 jalapeño
2 serranos
1 onion
2 garlic
0.25 cup water
lime
2 tsp OG (salt, pepper, garlic blend)
1 handful cilantro
0.5 avocado
Equipment
pot
blender
Tips
Always drop the garlic at the very end when blanching to maintain its strong flavor.
Leaving jalapeños and serranos in the water a little longer after boiling enhances their flavor.
The avocado provides natural oil, making additional oil unnecessary for a creamy taqueria-style salsa.
