Place one salmon fillet skin side up into a large shallow dish.
In a separate bowl, combine half a cup of soy sauce, a quarter cup of honey, a quarter cup of orange juice, four cloves of minced garlic, a teaspoon of ground ginger, and a quarter teaspoon of red pepper flakes, then whisk together.
Pour the marinade over the salmon in the shallow dish, lifting the salmon to ensure the flesh is coated.
Refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, place the salmon skin side down onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
Lay five orange slices on top of the salmon.
Loosely wrap the salmon with foil, adding a second piece if needed for larger fillets to trap steam.
Bake in a 375°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Garnish with a little bit of freshly chopped parsley for color.
