Directions
1
Start with six Russet potatoes about this size.
2
Peel and cube the potatoes and add them to an 8-quart pot.
3
Add enough water to cover the potatoes by at least 3 inches.
4
Add a couple of tablespoons of salt.
5
Bring the potatoes to a boil and let them cook until they are fork-tender.
6
By fork-tender, I mean you can pick it up with a fork, but with pressure, it falls apart.
7
Completely drain all the water off the potatoes.
8
Add them back into the pot.
9
Put the pot back on low heat to dry some of the moisture out of the potatoes.
10
While the potatoes are drying out, add one stick of butter into a pan.
11
Add an 8-ounce block of cream cheese.
12
Add 8 ounces of sour cream.
13
Add a teaspoon of garlic powder.
14
Add the flavor time Southern seasoning.
15
Add salt.
16
Add black pepper.
17
Add 8 ounces of heavy cream.
18
On a medium-low heat, keep this stirred until everything is incorporated.
19
Add all your potatoes in here with your sauce.
20
Go in here with your electric mixer until they're completely smooth.
21
When you get done, this is what they should look like.
