Add 1 pound of ground beef to a hot oiled pan, break it up, season with salt and pepper, and brown it.
Transfer the browned beef to a bowl and set aside.
Remove most of the grease from the pan.
Drop in a diced onion, one chopped red bell pepper, one chopped green bell pepper, and two minced garlic cloves.
Stir and sauté the vegetables until soft.
Add 2/3 cups of ketchup, more salt, and pepper.
Stir and cook for a few minutes.
Add one tablespoon of chili powder and a teaspoon of dried mustard.
Stir in the spices quickly.
Add one 8-ounce can of tomato sauce, two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, two tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, two teaspoons of dark brown sugar, and one cup of beef broth.
Stir all the ingredients together and cook.
Add the beef back into the pan and mix to incorporate it beautifully.
Transfer the sloppy joe mixture to a 2-quart baking dish.
Grab a Hawaiian roll, cut it in half, and place each half face down on top of the sloppy joe mixture.
Continue placing halved rolls until the whole dish is covered.
Brush all of the rolls with melted butter.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the rolls.
Throw the whole thing in the oven at 375°F for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are toasted.
Sprinkle parsley on top to make it look fancy.
Grab a spatula, cut out a piece, and put it on a plate.
Grab a fork, scoop up a big bite, and put the whole thing in your mouth.
