Honey Hot Chicken Tenders

Directions

  1. 1Add your spice blend to your chicken tenders.
  2. 2Add some olive oil to bind it together.
  3. 3Add about 2 cups of buttermilk.
  4. 4Add 1/2 a cup to 2 cups of hot sauce, depending on your spice preference.
  5. 5Add the remainder of your seasoning blend and don't worry, the buttermilk will dilute it so it won't be too salty.
  6. 6For the flour mixture, use about 4 cups of flour, 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking powder.
  7. 7Add black pepper, garlic and onion powder, and Nashville seasoning blend.
  8. 8For the breading, start in the buttermilk, go to the flour, back to the buttermilk, back to the flour for a total of two times.
  9. 9Let your tenders rest or the breading will fall apart while you fry it.
  10. 10Heat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cook your tenders for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. 11For the sauce, melt about 2 tablespoons of any butter.
  12. 12Add some honey and about a quarter cup of hot sauce, or however much you want.
  13. 13Cook the sauce down and pour it all over your tenders.
  14. 14Make sure to toss them up a little bit.
  15. 15Serve them with ranch, definitely not blue cheese.
