Pat the 3 lb chuck roast dry with a paper towel.

Salt and pepper both sides of the chuck roast.

Sear both sides of the chuck roast in a Dutch oven.

Remove the seared chuck roast and place it into a crock pot.

Add 1 thick sliced onion to the Dutch oven and sauté for a couple of minutes.

Add 5 minced garlic cloves to the Dutch oven and sauté for about a minute.

Dump the onion and garlic mixture on top of the roast in the crock pot.

Add 5 cut up carrots and two handfuls of whole Yukon gold potatoes to the crock pot.

Add 1.5 cups of beef broth to the Dutch oven.

Add 2 teaspoons of where's your sister sauce to the Dutch oven.

Add 1 tablespoon of fresh minced thyme to the Dutch oven.

Add 1 tablespoon of fresh minced rosemary to the Dutch oven.

Stir the mixture in the Dutch oven with a wooden spoon for about a minute, scraping all the good bits off the bottom.

Pour all the liquid from the Dutch oven on top of everything in the crock pot.

Salt and pepper the contents of the crock pot one more time if desired.

Place the lid on the crock pot and set the temperature to low for 8 to 9 hours.

Once cooked, remove the lid, vegetables, and meat from the crock pot.

Shred the meat using two forks.

Cut up the potatoes into smaller, easier-to-serve pieces.

Pour all the juices from the crock pot through a fine mesh screen.

Heat the strained juices over medium heat.

Add a corn starch slurry to the heated juices to make gravy.

Pour the gravy over the shredded meat and vegetables.

Garnish with parsley if desired.

Tips
Pat the chuck roast dry with a paper towel before browning.
