Sauce Diane

Directions

  1. 1Season your steak with salt and pepper.
  2. 2Cook the steak in a pan.
  3. 3Add garlic and butter to the same pan where you cooked the steak.
  4. 4Sauté the garlic and butter.
  5. 5Deglaze the pan with cognac.
  6. 6Once the alcohol has cooked off, stir in half a cup of beef stock.
  7. 7Add half a cup of heavy cream.
  8. 8Stir in a tablespoon of Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  9. 9Bring it up to a low simmer.
  10. 10Simmer until it has thickened to desire, thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  11. 11Serve the sauce over your steak.

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 0.25 cup brandy
  • 0.5 cup beef stock
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • minced parsley
