Dinner Rolls

Directions

  1. 1Add 1 cup of warm milk to a measuring cup.
  2. 2Add 2 and a half teaspoons of active dry yeast.
  3. 3Add 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  4. 4Mix the ingredients together.
  5. 5Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
  6. 6In a mixing bowl, add half a stick of melted butter.
  7. 7Add one egg.
  8. 8Add one teaspoon of salt.
  9. 9Pour in the yeast mixture.
  10. 10Combine all ingredients with a dough hook.
  11. 11Slowly add 3 cups of flour.
  12. 12Let the dough knead for about 10 minutes.
  13. 13Lightly flour a surface.
  14. 14Knead the dough for a couple of minutes by hand until it forms a smooth dough ball.
  15. 15Add a little oil to a bowl and spread it around evenly.
  16. 16Place the dough ball into the oiled bowl.
  17. 17Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for one hour.
  18. 18Punch the air out of the risen dough.
  19. 19Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
  20. 20Roll each piece of dough into a little ball by folding over the edges and rolling it into a ball.
  21. 21Add the formed dough balls to a greased baking dish.
  22. 22Cover and rest the dough balls for another 30 minutes.
  23. 23Bake in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes.
  24. 24Brush the tops of the baked rolls with some melted butter.
