Add some oil to a pan and saute the onions until golden brown.
Then add tomatoes, cashews, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to taste, garam masala and pinch of sugar. Mix well and cook until the oil separates.
Now cool and blend it into a smooth paste by adding some water.
In another pan heat some butter and saute the dry spices and ginger garlic paste.
Now pour the blended puree and mix well.
Then add milk to let the gravy reach the desired consistency. Cook for 8-10 mins until the gravy thickens.
Now add paneer and kasuri methi. Mix well and cook for 2-3 mins.
You can also add cream if desired. Serve hot with rice or bread of your choice.
