Fried Pickle Dip

Directions

  1. 1Cut up the bacon into little pieces and fry it up in a pan.
  2. 2Season the bacon with Dan-O's Original Seasoning.
  3. 3Add some real flavor to the bacon by flambéing it with a bottle of alcohol.
  4. 4Cook the bacon until it's nice and crispy.
  5. 5Remove about two-thirds of the bacon from the pan and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. 6Remove most of the bacon grease from the pan, leaving some bacon and grease for the next step.
  7. 7Add about half a bag of Panko breadcrumbs to the pan with the remaining bacon and grease.
  8. 8Soak up the bacon grease with the Panko breadcrumbs.
  9. 9Add Dan-O's Original Seasoning and Dan-O's Cheesoning to the Panko mixture.
  10. 10Turn the heat back on and toast the Panko mixture until it's golden brown.
  11. 11Once toasted, transfer the Panko mixture to a bowl and set it aside.
  12. 12Take a whole jar of pickles, set aside two spears for garnish, and dice the rest.
  13. 13Add the diced pickles to a large mixing bowl.
  14. 14Take a bunch of baby dill, set aside a couple sprigs for garnish, and pick the rest off the stems.
  15. 15Chop the picked dill and add it to the bowl with the pickles.
  16. 16Chop a few green onions, set aside a few for garnish, and add the rest to the bowl.
  17. 17Add the reserved cooked bacon to the bowl.
  18. 18Add one pack of Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix to the bowl.
  19. 19Add a bunch of Dan-O's Original Seasoning to the bowl.
  20. 20Add two blocks of cream cheese and one pound of sour cream to the bowl.
  21. 21Add a couple scoops of pickle juice to the bowl.
  22. 22Mix all the ingredients together until well combined and soft.
  23. 23Transfer the dip to a serving dish.
  24. 24Top the dip with the toasted Panko mixture.
  25. 25Garnish with the reserved pickle spears, dill sprigs, and green onions.
  26. 26Serve with wavy chips.

Tips

  • Let your cream cheese sit out for a little bit so it's nice and soft.
  • Use fresh pickles for a nice and crispy texture.
  • Set aside some pickle spears, dill sprigs, and green onions for garnish to make the dish look pretty at the end.
