Pretzel Dog Bites with Beer Cheese Dip

Directions

  1. 1Peel and slice each biscuit in half, then slice each half into four sections.
  2. 2Wrap each biscuit section around a sausage and secure it.
  3. 3Bring eight cups of water to a boil and mix in half a cup of baking soda.
  4. 4Drop the pretzel dogs in the boiling water, one by one, and let them boil for about 10 to 15 seconds.
  5. 5Place the pretzel dogs on a parchment-lined baking pan, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  6. 6Place them in a 400°F oven to cook for about 12 to 15 minutes.
  7. 7For the beer cheese, melt two tablespoons of butter, then combine with three tablespoons of flour and stir for a minute.
  8. 8Add in a cup of light beer and a cup of milk; stir until there are no more clumps.
  9. 9Turn the heat to low and add in three cups of cheese, a little bit at a time, stirring in between until everything is fully melted.
  10. 10Pull the pretzel bites out of the oven and let them cool for a minute.
  11. 11Plate up your pretzel dog bites alongside your beer cheese dip.
