Open-faced wontons

Directions

  1. 1Add soy sauce to a bowl.
  2. 2Add chili garlic sauce to the bowl.
  3. 3Add water to the bowl.
  4. 4Add sesame oil to the bowl.
  5. 5Add rice wine vinegar to the bowl.
  6. 6Add white sugar to the bowl.
  7. 7Add sesame seeds to the bowl.
  8. 8Mix the ingredients in the bowl with a spoon.
  9. 9Set the sauce aside.
  10. 10In a separate bowl, add the ground pork.
  11. 11Add the ground beef.
  12. 12Add the coleslaw to the bowl.
  13. 13Add garlic and ginger to the bowl.
  14. 14Add soy sauce to the bowl.
  15. 15Add sugar to the bowl.
  16. 16Add sesame oil to the bowl.
  17. 17Cut up some green onions.
  18. 18Add the green onions to the bowl.
  19. 19Mix all the ingredients well combined by hand.
  20. 20Cut open the wonton wrappers package.
  21. 21Place a portion of the filling on a wonton wrapper.
  22. 22Lay them down on a cutting board.
  23. 23Brush some oil down in a pan.
  24. 24Turn on the stove to medium-high heat.
  25. 25Lay the wontons meat side down in the pan.
  26. 26Brush oil on the back of the wontons.
  27. 27Flip the wontons after a couple of minutes.
  28. 28Fry the wontons until they are nice and crispy.
  29. 29Add chili oil to the cooked wontons.
  30. 30Add the sauce to a small bowl.
  31. 31Serve the wontons with the sauce.

Tips

  • Do not make the wonton filling too thick, or else it will take too long to cook.
  • Fold the wontons in half like a taco and dip them in the sauce.
