Directions

  1. 1Cut the boneless chicken thigh into 1 inch pieces.
  2. 2Prepare General Tso’s sauce by adding all the items mentioned. Mix well with a whisk, ensuring no lumps and the corn flour and sugar dissolve.
  3. 3Marinate the chicken with 1/4 tsp each of salt and pepper powder, and 2 tbsp of the prepared General Tso’s sauce. Mix and set aside for 30 minutes.
  4. 4Add whisked egg white to the marinated chicken and mix well.
  5. 5In a glass container, add all purpose flour, corn flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6Take out the chicken pieces, without the liquid, and add 4-5 pieces in batches to the dry batter mix.
  7. 7Toss the chicken pieces to coat them completely in the dry mix.
  8. 8Heat oil in a pan for deep frying on medium heat. Drop the chicken pieces side by side to avoid crowding.
  9. 9Do not stir for 1 minute. Then flip, stir, and fry on medium heat for 4-5 minutes until light golden.
  10. 10Remove and repeat for the remaining chicken.
  11. 11Heat oil in a wok. Add finely chopped ginger, garlic, and red chili flakes.
  12. 12Mix and sauté for 1 minute, then add the General Tso’s sauce.
  13. 13Mix and cook for 1-2 minutes on medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  14. 14Add the fried chicken pieces and mix, frying for 2 minutes until the sauce coats the chicken completely.
  15. 15Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
