Chicken Sisig

Directions

  1. 1Spray a pan with cooking spray and set on medium heat.
  2. 2Add four boneless, skinless chicken thighs to the pan.
  3. 3Season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and MSG.
  4. 4Dice half a red onion.
  5. 5Chop one green onion.
  6. 6Cook chicken until it reaches 165°F.
  7. 7Mince the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  8. 8In the pan, add half of the diced red onion and 6 ounces of the minced chicken.
  9. 9Squeeze 3-4 calamansi over the chicken and onion mixture.
  10. 10Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
  11. 11Add black pepper and green onion to taste.
  12. 12Serve the chicken sisig on a plate with rice.
  13. 13Top with more raw red onion, calamansi and pork rinds for crunch.

  • 1 pinch MSG
  • 0.5 medium red onion
  • 1 whole green onion
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 -4 calamansi

  • 0.5 serving pork rinds

Tips

  • It's supposed to be on a hot plate, but if you don't have one, just use a regular pan.
  • Don't make them too small; don't wait too long or they'll get soggy.
