Directions
1
Add 1 and 1/4 cups of warm milk (no more than 110 degrees) into a large mixing bowl.
2
Add 1/3 of a cup of granulated sugar to the milk.
3
Add 2 and 1/4 teaspoons or one packet of yeast to the mixture.
4
Give the mixture a quick stir.
5
Let the mixture sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast gets nice and foamy.
6
Add half a stick or 1/4 of a cup of melted butter to the mixture.
7
Add one room temperature egg to the mixture.
8
Whisk all ingredients together.
9
Add one teaspoon of salt.
10
Add 3 and 1/2 cups of bread flour.
11
Start mixing everything together until a shaggy dough forms.
12
Turn the dough out onto a clean, floured surface.
13
Knead the dough until it comes together in a nice, smooth dough ball.
14
Spray a clean bowl with oil.
15
Put the dough into the bowl, top side down, swirl it around, and then flip it over.
16
Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap lightly and let it rise until it doubles in size, which is probably about an hour.
17
For the butter, get two sticks of softened, salted butter and place them in a bowl.
18
Whip the butter until it's nice and fluffy and pale yellow in color.
19
Add a third of a cup of powdered sugar to the whipped butter.
20
Add a quarter cup of honey to the mixture.
21
Add two teaspoons of cinnamon to the mixture.
22
Whip all ingredients together until all combined.
23
Once the dough is done rising, take your butter wrappers and grease your baking sheet.
24
Gently push the dough down in the center.
25
Take the dough out of the bowl.
26
Press the dough out into a rectangle that's about a quarter of an inch thick.
27
Cut the dough into equal small pieces using a pizza cutter.
28
Place the dough pieces all on the baking sheet, giving them room to rise.
29
Cover the baking sheets with a towel.
30
Let these rolls rise for another 30 minutes while the oven preheats to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, until they get puffy.
31
Pop the risen rolls into the oven at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
32
When the rolls come out of the oven, brush them all with some melted butter.
