Honey Garlic Shrimp

Directions

  1. 1Whisk a mixture of honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper.
  2. 2Toss the shrimp with 3 tablespoons of the whisked mixture and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. 3Stir the cornstarch into the remaining marinade and set aside.
  4. 4Pat the shrimp dry and discard the excess marinade.
  5. 5Heat a large skillet over medium-high with oil.
  6. 6Cook the shrimp in a single layer until lightly browned, about 1 to 2 minutes per side.
  7. 7Add the reserved marinade and cook until thickened.
  8. 8Transfer to a serving dish, top with scallions, and serve.

  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 0.5 tsp grated ginger
  • to taste Red pepper flakes

  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • to serve Scallions

Tips

  • Pat your shrimp dry, removing any extra marinade to get a crispy sear.
  • Shrimp are so easy to overcook, so just one to two minutes per side before adding your sauce.
