Spicy Korean Chicken BBQ

Directions

  1. 1Chop up 2.5 pounds of chicken thigh and cut out all the fat.
  2. 2Mix 6 tablespoons of pepper powder, 6 tablespoons of soy sauce, 6 tablespoons of garlic, 6 tablespoons of mirim, and 5 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl.
  3. 3Mix well until it becomes a paste.
  4. 4Add 1 tablespoon of ginger, 1/2 tablespoon of curry, 1 1/2 tablespoons of corn syrup, and 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce to the sauce.
  5. 5Add some black pepper.
  6. 6Mix everything well again.
  7. 7Put the chicken in a stainless bowl.
  8. 8Add some of the sauce to the chicken.
  9. 9Mix the chicken and the sauce well.
  10. 10Wrap the chicken and let it marinate for about 12 hours.
  11. 11Put some oil in a frying pan and heat it up.
  12. 12Put the marinated chicken in the frying pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side on high heat.
  13. 13Add a little more oil.
  14. 14Cover the pan.
  15. 15Lower the heat and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  16. 16Flip the chicken over and cook for another minute or two.
  17. 17Move the chicken to a plate and add sesame seeds on top.
