Jamaican Steamed Red Snapper Fish and Okra

Directions

  1. 1Wash the cleaned and scaled red snapper fish with lime.
  2. 2Make a couple of slices on both sides of the fish to allow seasoning to marinate.
  3. 3Season the fish with all-purpose seasoning, ensuring it gets into the head and slices.
  4. 4Place a pan on the stove and turn it on.
  5. 5Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan.
  6. 6Sauté half of a small onion.
  7. 7Add 1 clove of garlic.
  8. 8Add some pimento and 1 stock of chopped scallions.
  9. 9Add scotch bonnet pepper.
  10. 10Add fresh thyme.
  11. 11Add red sweet pepper.
  12. 12Add carrots, corn, and pumpkin.
  13. 13Season all the vegetables with one Grace fish soup flavored mix.
  14. 14Add 1 cup of water.
  15. 15Cover the pan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  16. 16Once it comes to a boil, add the seasoned fish to the pan.
  17. 17Add butter on top of the fish.
  18. 18Add okra to the pan.
  19. 19Cover it up and let it steam for 15 minutes.
  20. 20After 15 minutes, turn off the stove as the fish is ready to serve.
